Johanan Herson
Johanan Herson, Artnova’s Home Artist, has an illustrious career marked by a vast repertoire of oil paintings, artworks across diverse materials, and his innovative Soft Paintings. His works are imbued with emotion, intuition, and sensuality, blending colors, shapes, and imagination to create a style that is both figurative and abstract. Johanan’s art is characterized by its strength and uniqueness, constantly evolving to include new forms like metal works.
Born in Montréal, Canada, in 1950, Johanan was initiated into art at an early age and gained recognition for his talent as a child. His career spans theater, film, and art, including his studies at the Bezal’el Art Academy in Jerusalem and Concordia University in Montréal. Over the last two decades, he has mastered the Soft Art technique, creating tufted wool and mixed media tapestries that adorn prestigious spaces. His works are exhibited in galleries across Europe, North America, and Israel, reflecting his optimism and love for humanity.
Viktoria Talaevsky
Viktoria Talaevsky, a passionate artist specializing in flowers, landscapes, and abstract works, was born in Kiev, Ukraine, in 1965 and immigrated to Israel in 1990. She graduated with honors in Industrial Design from the Kiev Technical Academy and pursued her artistic passion through teaching and creating. Joining the Artnova Studio in 1990 marked a turning point in her career, where she began experimenting with Soft Art techniques using acrylic fibers, fabrics, and strings.
Viktoria’s work is a vibrant expression of her artistic journey, blending traditional painting with modern mixed media. Her creations are showcased in international galleries, art shows, and exhibitions, captivating audiences with their color and creativity.
Elena Yampolsky
Elena Yampolsky, a celebrated artist known for her depictions of Israeli folk dancers and Jewish themes, holds a master’s degree from the prestigious Russian Institute for Textile. She began her artistic career in Moscow and immigrated to Israel in 1992. Elena’s works have been featured in major exhibitions, including the “Drawing of Russia” and “The Fall Art Exhibition of Moscow.”
At Artnova Studio, Elena creates stunning Soft Art pieces that combine acrylic fibers, fabrics, and strings. Her works have been displayed at leading art shows in Israel, reflecting her dedication to artistic innovation and cultural expression.
Shai Mendel Shaked
The newest member of the Artnova Studio, Shai Mendel Shaked, was born in Israel in 1984. Trained at the art school in Jerusalem, he earned his Bachelor of Arts by 2002, specializing in a range of disciplines including drawing, composition, and sculpture. Shai’s work is a fusion of traditional and modern techniques, including the innovative Soft Painting method where synthetic acrylic fibers replace traditional brushes.
Shai’s art is inspired by his collaboration with Johanan Herson, blending color, movement, and optimism. His works, designed for specific spaces and environments, reflect his deep connection to design and the dynamic transition between dreams and reality.
